Our History Established:   1992, Sheffield, England Founder: Carol R. Gray Served as an advisor to the United Nations, the Peace Keeping Forces in Bosnia and Croatia, and the Ministry of Defense in Great Britain Started HUGS International TLC after witnessing the emotional trauma of families caught in the front line villages during the Balkans crisis Mother of seven children Has led countless numbers of convoys of food and supplies Countries:     Croatia, Bosnia, Russia, Kosovo, Honduras, Liberia and Ghana Successful Projects: Led convoys, which kept whole villages alive with packaged food parcels Built a school and supplied it with books, musical instruments & supplies Purchased milk cows and baby chicks for families to help them become more self-sufficient Outfitted hospitals with emergency and operating room equipment Provided quilts and clothes for orphanages and homes for handicapped children Restored a kitchen and bathrooms in a bombed out hospital in Sarajevo Delivered Christmas gifts (along with “Father Christmas”) several times to orphanages Provided musical instruments to a special school for traumatized children Completely refurbished a senior citizens home, including a hair salon Cleared mines from former garden areas, provided seeds and assisted local residents in planting gardens Supplied new kitchen and bathroom fixtures in war-torn villages Provided ambulances to assist in recovering war victims (which are still used to provide medical services) Provided trucks to a school and an orphanage Sent a convoy of aid in June, 1999 to help refugees returning to Kosovo
